Trust
in God Woven Into 'Fabric' of Star-Spangled Banner
As the frequency of exploding bombs slowed and
finally stopped, the acrid, smoke-filled air began to clear. The
young man picked up a spy glass and quickly made his way to the
rain-drenched deck of the sloop. The sun hovered just below the
horizon, promising, at least temporarily, a respite from the rain.
In the dim light, the man turned his gaze upstream and, holding the
spy glass to his eye, anxiously moved it back and forth until,
suddenly, he stopped. He stared intently for a moment, and then
joyfully shouted into the air -- "We didn't lose the fort! Our
flag is still there!" Read

"One Nation Under God" Print
More than a year ago Tim Wildmon, Vice President
of the American Family Association, commissioned Mitchell Tolle to
create a series of paintings that would blend symbols of our faith
with symbols of our nation. Here is the first
of that series.
Encountering God’s Greatness
Book Review by Randall
Murphree
Praise and worship are critical elements in my
relationship to Christ, and I am fortunate to be in a church which
recognizes their importance both for the individual and for the
corporate Body. It was natural that I’d be drawn to the title of
trusted and popular author Jerry Bridges’ latest book, I Exalt
You, O God: Encountering His Greatness in Your Private Worship.

ends in holy obedience. If worship does not propel us into greater
obedience, it has not been worship." Richard
